Welcome to the TEM laboratory in the Department of Physics!

The Department of Physics TEM lab is run as a university-wide user facility. We have had users from Physics, Chemistry, Chemical and Materials Engineering, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as the National Institute for Nanotechnology and from local industry.

The lab features a JEOL 2010 TEM (LaB6 electron gun) and a computer-driven CCD camera (or film). We do have sample preparation facilities but these are not part of the main user facility.

The TEM lab is managed by Al Meldrum and is maintained by Greg Popowich.
